New Zealand

New Zealand, or Aotearoa as it is called in Maori, is, geologically speaking, said to be the youngest country on earth and was one of the last major landmasses to be settled by humans.

It is a land of rich diversity - in culture, landscape, flora and fauna.

New Zealand generally enjoys a mild climate and is therefore a haven for outdoor activities - summer, winter and in-between. It is home to vast open spaces, endless coastline, rugged mountains, lush rainforest and all in close proximity to vibrant cities and towns.

Our guide introduces you to our must visit areas and offers a select list of options in accommodation, dining, activities and entertainment. We are confident that accepting the services our advertisers offer will guarantee your New Zealand holiday experience is one you will never forget.

Get a head start by going to our order page now and get your copy posted to you. (A small charge for postage & handling may apply). Otherwise when you start your holiday pick up your copy from all major airports and Information Centres throughout New Zealand.

NORTH ISLAND

Home to four national parks and a unique volcanic plateau at its centre, the North Island of New Zealand has plenty of exciting activities and unique scenery on offer. It is home to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city and the nations capital of Wellington.

‘The North Island of New Zealand is the smaller of the two main islands and has both New Zealand’s largest city—Auckland—and New Zealand’s capital city—Wellington. North Island highlights include geothermal Rotorua, the Bay of Islands, Lake Taupo and Te Papa Tongarewa Museum’

Put your feet up and relax in the winterless north, get immersed in the Maori culture in Rotorua or hit the slopes in the central north island on Mt Ruapehu, the North Island really does have something for everyone.

SOUTH ISLAND

Well known for its southern hospitality the South Island is full of welcoming locals and a great place to view what is considered by many to be some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

Highlights of the South Island are New Zealand’s highest peak Mt Cook, the world famous alpine resort of Queenstown, the wild west coast and the stunning Fiordland national park. With a population of only 968,000 compared to the north island’s 3.3 million there are plenty of private spots of paradise to discover.

The largest city in the South Island is Christchurch known to many as the garden city because of its many stunningly beautiful gardens and parks. Get exploring and immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings of the South Island, you won’t be disappointed!
